Bad politicians.
Yes I said it!
Quite frankly as a health care provider I have to say enough is enough.
I have all due respect for our governor Larry Hogan. He at
least seems to allow himself to be guided by science and a desire to do what is
best for his constituents. The same cannot be said for all of our leaders. It is an embarrassment and a shame that we
should have so much difficulty identifying an adult in the room of governors,
when peoples’ lives are at stake.
If this virus has not taught people throughout these United
States how interconnected we are, nothing will.
It is nothing short of ridiculous right now to open a
massage parlor whether it is in Florida or Minnesota or anywhere else. No
stretch of imagination can envisage a massage being performed with social
distancing or a haircut being done with a barge pole. To add insult to injury
the President suggests ‘sarcastically’ that people use disinfectant internally.
What a wonderful endorsement for the Lysol company.
Is it funny that these are the people making life and deaths
decisions daily affecting YOUR life?
Joke time is over!
In the midst
of this crisis, my colleagues are working tirelessly in very difficult
conditions to meet the needs of their patients. Their heroic service necessitates
a strong response from the leaders of the country which includes not ‘opening
up’ the economy so soon that the health care system gets overwhelmed…again.
Is it just me
or does it strike you as strange that the way we measure ‘success’ in this
crisis is by how many deaths there are? “Only 700 people died yesterday" . This is the new normal.
